The Grace Church Choir
To give glory to God through the arts: whether in the weekly anthems sung by the Grace Church Choir, the quarterly performance of the Grace Church Concert Series, special seasonal choral events and our annual Piedmont Regional Art Show & Sale, highlighting local artists.
Noted for its remarkable music ministry, Grace Church has established a tradition of outstanding Organists/Choir Directors, a well-trained Adult Choir that leads Sunday morning Eucharist, Choral Evensong, Lessons and Carols, a ground breaking Concert Series, and recitals.
Sacred music plays a prominent role in Episcopal liturgy. The music program is built upon four cornerstones:
- Worship and glorify God through music
- Teach basic and proper fundamentals of music and singing to each participant
- Uphold the church’s respected and honored heritage of music while also introducing various styles of music
- Offer a means for the individual to attain an expression of spiritual joy and comfort
At the heart of it all are the volunteers who lend their time and support to make the wonderful liturgies and concerts possible.
For information on all aspects of the music program email Grace Church Director of Music, Dr. Jason Farris or phone 540-253-5711, ext. 103.
